UCEE Microfinance Bank, a subsidiary of United Capital Plc, has officially launched its services, introducing a mobile app designed to enhance financial accessibility across Nigeria. The bank’s grand opening took place on August 19, 2024, in Lagos State, where Chief Executive Officer Esther Adeola-Balogun outlined the bank’s mission to integrate traditional banking with digital innovation.
As a hybrid microfinance institution, UCEE is committed to bridging the gap between conventional banking and the digital needs of today’s customers. We urge everyone to download it, as it provides a convenient way to manage accounts, access loans, and perform transactions from anywhere.”
Beyond the app, UCEE is also targeting semi-urban and rural areas through a new USSD code initiative, ensuring that financial services are accessible even to those without smartphones. Adeola-Balogun highlighted the role of this platform in driving financial inclusion, particularly in underserved regions of Nigeria.
Stephen Nwadiuko, Chairman of UCEE Microfinance Bank, reiterated the bank’s focus on reaching every segment of society, ensuring that UCEE’s services are available to a broad and diverse customer base. Through this strategic approach, UCEE aims to significantly contribute to Nigeria’s financial inclusion efforts, combining digital and traditional banking solutions to meet the varied needs of its customers.
